When the Poker Masters kicks off on Wednesday, September 21st, the PokerGO Studios in Las Vegas will host the first of 12 tournaments spanning nearly two weeks of high-stakes tournaments. The player with the most points on the leaderboard in a series of 12 tournaments will become the Poker Masters 2022 champion, receive the coveted purple jacket and a $50,000 first-place prize. Each final table will be streamed live on PokerGO.
Poker Masters 2022 kicks off with Event #1: $10,000 No Limit Hold’em. The first seven tournaments are $10,000 tournaments for the PokerGO Tour (PGT), which includes five No Limit Hold’em tournaments, Pot Limit Omaha Tournament and Eight Tournament Tournament. Beginning Wednesday, September 28, the stakes are up for Event 8: $15,000 No Limit Hold’em, followed by three $25,000 events before the $50,000 Final on Sunday, October 2.
Poker fans around the world can watch every 2022 Poker Masters final table on PokerGO. Each match is scheduled as a two-day tournament, with the final table being played on the second day of the tournament. From Thursday, September 22nd, viewers will be able to watch the daily high-stakes final table on PokerGO.

As with most poker tournaments, it can often be difficult to pinpoint exactly who will show up and fight on the field. We have a pretty good idea of who might appear at the upcoming Poker Masters.
First up is Daniel Negreanu, who has stated on the DAT Poker podcast and on social media that he will be participating in the Poker Masters. Next up is 2022 PokerGO Cup Champion Jeremy Osmus, who has posted some action on the famous betting platform. Along with Ausmus, Carey Katz, Josh Arieh, Alex Livingston and Dan Kolpois posted the Poker Masters event online.
We can then take a look at the PGT leaderboard, as many of the top 30-40 are likely to compete in the Poker Masters. Stephen Chidwick is the current leader of PGT, followed by PGT regulars like Jason Koon, Alex Foxen and Sean Winter who are in the top 10.
Names such as Nick Petrangelo, David Peters, Sam Soverel, Brock Wilson, Chino Rheem, Eric Seidel and Shannon Schorr are in the top 50 of the PGT chart but are not currently in the top 21. The top 21 players on the PGT leaderboard are eligible for a $500,000 winner-take-all prize at the PGT Championship at the end of the season, and we predict these names will be featured in the mix in hopes of improving their position.
Poker Masters 2022 marks the seventh edition of the high stakes tournament series. Poker Masters has five live versions and two online versions.
The first Poker Masters took place in 2017 and consisted of five events. Steffen Sontheimer of Germany won two of the five competitions en route to his first purple jacket. In 2018, Ali Imsirovic won two of the series’ seven games, earning himself the Purple Jacket. Then in 2019, Sam Soverel won two of his own tournaments by taking on the purple jacket.
Two online versions of the Poker Masters took place in 2020 when live poker was put on hold due to the coronavirus pandemic. Alexandros Kolonias won the Online Poker Masters 2020 and Eelis Parssinen won the Online Poker Masters PLO 2020 series.
In 2021, Australian poker superstar Michael Addamo won the Purple Jacket Poker Masters and went on to win Super High Roller Bowl VI for $3,402,000.
Speaking of the Super High Roller Bowl, the next prestigious event will take place the day after the Poker Masters. The Poker Masters will conclude on Monday, October 3rd with event #12: the $50,000 No Limit Hold’em final table, followed by the $300,000 Super High Roller Bowl VII starting on Wednesday, October 5th.
Super High Roller Bowl VII is scheduled to be a three-day tournament, all three days of which will be streamed live on PokerGO.
All Poker Masters and Super High Roller Bowl VII tournaments are eligible for PGT Leaderboard Points. The top 21 players on the PGT leaderboard will qualify for the PGT Championship at the end of the season for a chance to win a $500,000 winner-take-all prize.
