Las Vegas Resident Breaks Guinness World Record for Largest Collection of Casino Chips
A Las Vegas man is trying to break the Guinness World Record for most casino chips, Las Vegas NBC affiliate reports.
Gregg Fischer, a member of the Casino Collectors Association, said he has a set of 2,222 casino chips, each from a different casino. He will show them off next week at Spinettis Gaming Supplies in Las Vegas as part of the Guinness World Records certification process.
The Fisher Collection will be open to the public from Monday, September 27 to Wednesday, September 29, from 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Once the public viewing is over, Guinness World Records will begin a 12-week review process to determine whether Fisher’s collection is worthy of its title.
In fact, Fischer set the record himself last October after Guinness World Records certified his collection of 818 chips. He broke the previous record set by Paul Shaffer on June 22, 2019, who had 802 chips from 32 different states.
Regardless of whether Fisher extends his record, the collection of 2,222 chips will be on display at next year’s Casino Collectibles Association show, June 16-18 at the South Pointe Hotel and Casino.
